Why is the platform entirely in English?
The platform will be translated into other languages. Parts of the site in English can easily be translated with your browser. Musicians and Industry users can use the language of their choice.
Copyright
Ownership of copyright remains with users. Copyright owners grant Expomusic a non-exclusive license to use these copyrights. Further information on Copyright can be found in the Terms of Use in chapter 6.
What is the Audience profile?
These are the profiles of internet users who have created an account and can view and follow the Musicians and Industry profiles.
Personal Profile Industry and Musicians
We recommend that you use your personal profile only for compiling and editing your information. Create an Audience account to make the most of the platform's features.
Which links and social networks are allowed?

What size of photo can I upload?
To avoid clogging the system, you can upload images with a maximum weight of 5Mb.
Deleting your account
By deleting your account all the data in your profile and those entered during registration will be permanently deleted. You cannot recover your profile
Audience Profile
What can I do with my Audience profile?
You can do a lot. The platform is designed to receive in your user profile all the news of all members. On your page you have 5 different sections, some of which are self-filled, others are notifications of the profiles followed. You can search for concerts and add them to the events that you follow. You have multiple ways to browse the Musicians and Industry profiles.
Industry Profile
How do I sell the music I produce?
You can use the link to your official website and proceed with the sale. You can enter all sales information in the Info section of the Info&News page. You can use the Info&News section to inform the public about your music purchases when you insert New Single/Album with an associated link. You can use links that directly lead to other websites promoting or selling music.
How does Streaming work?
You can link your Youtube account during a live streaming. To do so, inside your Profile page, go to the Video section, add a new video and paste the Youtube link of your streaming. The Audience will find your streaming performance in the video section of your profile.
How does the Info&News section work?
The Info&News section consists of a description and 5 types of information that you can fill out continuously. This information is automatically displayed on the Expo page and in the Audience profile of the users. In the Info&News section you can promote your Swiss and international musicians, Expomusic musicians and much more.

How does the Add Artist section work?
With Add Artist you can link your profile to a Musicians profile, an artist who has an Expomusic profile, or you can promote the music of other artists resident in Switzerland or international artists who are not members of Expomusic.
How does the Add Album section work?
With Add Album you can link only albums by Expomusic registered musicians to your profile. To promote an artist's album that is not registered with Expomusic use the Info&News section.
How does Add Video work?
You can share videos about your artists' music performances, interviews or real-life moments. You can share as many videos as you think are necessary for your promotion. We recommend that you share secure promotional material. Youtube links only
What audio file format can I upload?
Mp3 files of any quality. We recommend using the highest quality for this audio format of 320Kbps.
Music genre
During recording you can select up to 5 music genres. If you need to specify your music genres you can do so in your description in the Info&News section.
Musicians Profile
How does Streaming work?
You can link your Youtube account during a live streaming. To do so, inside your Profile page, go to the Video section, add a new video and paste the Youtube link of your streaming. The Audience will find your streaming performance in the video section of your profile.

How does the Add Single section work?
Fill in the fields and select "Promotion Song" if you want this track to be present in the list of Music page. Through this track you get to your personal profile. With the "Select Album" function you can insert the newly created track into an existing album.
How does the Add Album section work?
Fill in the fields and create an empty album, then you can insert the tracks with Add Single or Modify Tracks.
With the Modify Tracks function you can select the main track of your album with "Promotion Song" and make your album visible directly on the Music page.
How does the Concert section work?
The concerts section allows you to create an event and make it visible in your profile.
Audience users have the possibility to search for all concerts.
How does Add Video work?
You can share videos about your artists' music performances, interviews or real-life moments.

Terms of Use of the platform expomusic.swiss
Area of Application
The Terms of Use set out in this document govern the legal aspects of the services offered by the association Expomusic through the platform expomusic.swiss directly or indirectly, with free access or by paying for a subscription or transaction. A printed or electronic version of these Terms of Use will be admissible in court or administrative proceedings based on or relating to these Terms of Use to the same extent and under the same conditions as other contractual documents, and similar, originally generated and maintained in printed form. Users of all categories present in the expomusic.swiss platform, namely musicians, industry, audience, and other future categories that will be related to the activities of the expomusic.swiss platform and the association Expomusic, declare to accept that any dispute, caused by actions arising out of or in connection with the services and content of the expomusic.swiss platform must begin within one (1) year from the case of dispute raised; otherwise, such judicial proceedings, or any other, is definitively prohibited and rejected by the association Expomusic. These Terms of Use are governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Canton of Ticino, Switzerland. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the subject matter of this agreement shall be resolved by the "Court of Lugano", Ticino, using the Italian language in accordance with the provisions of the Swiss Code of Civil and Procedural Law. The use of the services and activities of the expomusic.swiss platform is authorized to all users who register an account, more precisely, musicians, industry, audience and other future categories, who declare to accept and recognize the validity of the dispositions of the entire document of the Conditions of Use of the expomusic.swiss platform. These conditions also apply to unregistered users who visit and use the functions of the expomusic.swiss platform.
Through the document of the Terms of Use, the association Expomusic wants to protect users, all, and itself from unpleasant inconveniences. The association Expomusic does not act for profit despite having a business model to support the activities of the association. The commitment of the Expomusic team is to allow musicians, professionals and business users to achieve promotional and economic results in particular in Switzerland but also internationally.
1. In general
  1. The platform expomusic.swiss is managed by the association Expomusic with headquarters in Lugano, Ticino, Switzerland.
  2. The expomusic.swiss platform is managed by the Expomusic association and is non-profit-making; the fee-based activities offered by the platform are necessary for the maintenance and operation of the expomusic.swiss platform and platform-related activities.
  3. Objectives: The expomusic.swiss platform was created primarily for the domestic music market, which is open to the foreign market. The rules of the platform are designed to bring out and highlight the native music scene of artists who already have professionally recorded and published sound material, or material produced professionally but free from record contracts. The activities of the platform allow artists to have a space of facilitated visibility for the domestic and foreign markets. The association Expomusic promotes and supports music published and unpublished by musicians resident in Switzerland or of Swiss nationality living abroad.
  4. Users of all registered categories do not transfer any intellectual property, copyrights, copyright, to the association Expomusic. The Expomusic association requires authorization to use the copyright to perform its service, see chapter 6.
  5. There are three (3) membership categories on the expomusic.swiss platform:
  6. Musicians: groups together artists resident in Switzerland, or artists of Swiss nationality resident abroad.
  7. Industry: groups together the professional category of record labels, recording studios and composers, including lyricists, arrangers and shift workers; professionals in this category are resident in Switzerland; physical persons may be Swiss nationals living abroad.
  8. Audience: groups non-commercial, public internet users who register an account with the expomusic.swiss platform.
  9. Users registered in the categories Musicians and Industry declare and guarantee that all copyrighted material of Swiss or foreign origin uploaded to the expomusic.swiss platform, visible to the public Internet on the various pages of the site, is their property, or have a written permission from the owners of the copyrighted material, for licenses and property rights of third persons, natural or legal persons, and more specifically, without limitation to the following list, of the rights relating to: musical productions and/or their derivatives, texts, video productions, audio productions, physical recordings, digital recordings, sound recordings, audio, video synchronized with audio recordings, collectively, music videos, audio-visual derivatives, including images, information, biographies, composers, scriptwriters, choreographers, sound engineers, dancers, vocalists, registered names, trademarks, including all licenses / authorizations not mentioned in this list that collectively make up the promotional material - hereinafter referred to in these Terms of Use as «protected promotional material» uploaded by users of these categories on the expomusic.swiss platform.
  10. The material produced by the association Expomusic is hereinafter referred in these Terms of Use as «Expomusic promotional material».
  11. The «protected promotional material» uploaded to the expomusic.swiss platform by all users with a registered account, is accessible to the public of the Internet and managed through these Terms of Use.
  12. No political, religious or ideological information, whether visual, textual or otherwise, may be disclosed on the expomusic.swiss platform. Expomusic may at any time and without prior notice remove information that it considers ambiguous or close to personal opinions on topics of public domain.
2. Modification of the Terms of Use
Expomusic reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to modify or replace any rule in these Terms of Use, or to modify, suspend or discontinue permanently the services offered, free of charge and against payment, including, without limitation, the availability of any feature, database or content at any time, without the obligation to inform registered users of all categories, but may publish a notice on the site or send an email. Users with paid accounts or paid services have no right to compensation for the termination of the expomusic.swiss platform or for damages caused by the termination of the service. The association Expomusic may also impose limits on certain features and services or restrict access to parts or the entire service with notice but without responsibility. Registered users have the obligation and responsibility to periodically read this document of the Terms of Use. Continued use of the services, after publication of any changes to these Terms of Use, implies acceptance of such changes. No new changes to these Terms of Use are taken into account for any dispute that arises prior to the date of such changes or modifications between you and the association Expomusic.
Users are aware that the document of the Terms of Use is for all purposes and under the law a "contract or contract of use" between users registered on the platform expomusic.swiss and the association Expomusic. This agreement sets out the legally binding terms and conditions for the use of the website www.expomusic.swiss and the service owned and managed by the association Expomusic, including any mobile software applications offered or published by third parties. By using the expomusic.swiss platform and its services in any way, including but not limited to visiting or browsing the website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. These Terms of Use apply to all users of the expomusic.swiss platform and/or services, including users who enter "protected promotional material", and visiting users without a registered account.
3. Musicians – Rules for registration and use of the profile
  1. Musicians or performers resident in Switzerland or of Swiss nationality living abroad - at least one (1) representative of the group - who produce and/or promote music and have "protected promotional material" at their disposal may register, see chapter 6 of these Terms of Use.
  2. The expomusic.swiss platform contains all necessary information from registered musicians, including third-party links, which are important for musicians to promote their music and their image. All information entered can be modified and removed by the musicians at will.
  3. 3. It is allowed to include in the user profile direct links to other platforms specifically intended for music promotion, whether of Swiss or foreign origin such as Spotify or similar.
  4. You must have "protected promotional material" of sound tracks, sound productions, intended as individual compositions or grouped into one (1) album of the format Mp3.
  5. On the musician profile page, you are required to choose a, (1), main track. The track selected for the playlist can be edited at will.
  6. Links to third parties allowed are: group/musician website, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook. Links to Swiss or foreign websites specifically for the promotion and sale of music productions are not permitted.
  7. Musicians members represent and warrant that they produce and/or promote "protected promotional materials" and have the right or permission to publicly disclose such information.
4. Industry – Rules for registration and use of the profile
  1. The registration is open to music professionals, physical persons resident in Switzerland or of Swiss nationality living abroad and legal persons resident in Switzerland. More precisely, three (3) categories of music professionals can register, named as follows:
    1. Insiders: composers, lyricists, arrangers, shift workers - living in Switzerland or abroad
    2. Records: recording studios, mastering studios - resident in Switzerland
    3. Labels: record Labels - resident in Switzerland
  2. Industry members declare and warrant that they produce and/or promote "protected promotional material" and have the right or permission to publicly disclose such information, see chapter 6 of these Terms of Use.
  3. Industry members can promote national and/or international musicians if they have "protected promotional material" see chapter 6 of these Terms of Use.
  4. Regulations for the use of Industry "Protected Promotional Material":
    1. Direct sale of "protected promotional material" is permitted if it refers to musicians who have registered a Musicians account, see chapter 6 of these Terms of Use: after registering for the Industry account, follow the instructions to include registered Musicians accounts in your profile.
    2. In the absence of musicians with Musicians accounts, you may upload "protected promotional material" of Swiss or foreign origin; the sale of this "protected promotional material" is prohibited, see chapter 6 of these Terms of Use
    3. Links allowed are: official website, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook
    4. Links to Swiss or foreign websites specifically for the promotion and sale of music productions are allowed
5. Audience - registration rules (public internet)
  1. Users aged 16 and over can register to the expomusic.swiss platform.
  2. Registration as an Audience user allows to fully visit the expomusic.swiss platform.
  3. Audience users are subject to these Terms of Use and declare and warrant that they will not use the "protected promotional material" uploaded to the expomusic.swiss platform for commercial purposes, or to use the material on the expomusic.swiss platform in a manner other than that required in these provisions of the Terms of Use, but only for personal use.
  4. Audience members are under the obligation to comply with the copyright rules, see chapter 6.
  5. Registration for Audience users is free of charge.
Musicians and Industry intellectual property rights, and use of copyrights by the Internet public, the Expomusic association and all categories registered on the expomusic.swiss platform including the Internet public who visit the expomusic.swiss platform without registering a user account; sale of author's music compositions;
  1. The expomusic.swiss platform offers users with registered Musicians and Industry accounts the possibility to upload to the expomusic.swiss platform "protected promotional material", more precisely, digital content owned or controlled by members, including, but not limited to, sound recordings, audio, video synchronized with audio recordings and other audio-visual works, collectively, music videos, including images, information, recorded names and all derivatives that collectively make up the offer of users with registered accounts; the association Expomusic has no property rights in any element of the content published by users with registered accounts on the expomusic.swiss platform, for example, but not limited to, sound content, video productions, images, text, graphics. The association Expomusic to perform its service requires the authorization, without limitation, by the owners of the rights and licenses of the "protected promotional material". Users with a registered account who upload "protected promotional material" to the expomusic.swiss platform authorize the Expomusic association and, where applicable, its authorized sublicensees and its worldwide distributors to use the right(s), copyright(s) and license(s), free of charge - royalty-free - of the "protected promotional material", more precisely the copyrights and licenses of third parties, as follows: reproduce, distribute, publicly perform - including through a digital audio broadcast, dedicated to the Internet public - publicly display, create derivative works for communication and promotion, for example, highlight(s), communicate to the public, synchronize and otherwise enjoy the promotional material uploaded.
  2. To perform the service on behalf of users with a registered account, for example, to reproduce, transcode, copy and store promotional material on servers owned and/or operated by or on behalf of the Expomusic association or its sublicensees and authorized distributors, and to execute, transmit, synchronize, distribute, and reproduce the "protected promotional material" uploaded to the expomusic.swiss platform, using any technology or methodology now known or developed later on.
  3. To use any " protected promotional material " or works associated with it, copiable metadata associated with it, including, without limitation to this list, sound recordings, synchronized videos, song lyrics, album covers, photographs, graphics and descriptive text in connection with the service offered by the association Expomusic through the platform expomusic.swiss necessary for its operation.
  4. Users with registered accounts who have control and ownership of copyright authorize users of all categories registered on the expomusic.swiss platform, namely, Musicians, Industry, Audience, including all internet users who visit the expomusic.swiss platform without having a registered user account, to use the "protected promotional material" uploaded by them, for non-commercial purposes only, and more precisely, users are authorized to receive notifications, to display the "protected promotional material" uploaded by users with registered accounts, to reproduce the promotional material on any device owned or controlled by the user, to share it on other platforms, or computer communication systems such as email without limitation to this list.
  5. To reproduce, use and publish and allow others to reproduce or re-publish, use and publish, the name(s), trademarks, "protected promotional material" both personal and biographical of users with registered accounts in connection with the service offered by the association Expomusic through the platform expomusic.swiss and necessary to its operation.
  6. In order to allow the Expomusic association to perform the promotion service, in accordance with the above provisions, users with a registered account declare and authorize the Expomusic association free of charge through the expomusic.swiss platform of national and international law, not exclusive, to publicly disclose, sublicense, transfer, distribute, reproduce, copy and display trademarks, service marks, slogans, logos or similar property rights, in general registered trademarks, and all actions necessary for the promotion of "protected promotional material" exclusively in connection with the service offered by the association Expomusic, including the marketing, promotion or advertising of the service offered by the association Expomusic included, all forms of marketing for the promotion of advertising material now known or later created by the association Expomusic.
  7. Users with a registered account declare and guarantee, and can demonstrate to the Expomusic association, upon request, that the "protected promotional material" uploaded on the expomusic.swiss platform and therefore, that the copyright and derived licenses of the "protected promotional material", are the property of the registered account members, who control all rights or that these rights are in the public domain.
  8. If the copyright rights held or controlled by users with registered accounts have been licensed to physical or legal persons, in part or in full, they must possess sufficient rights, or freedom, to enter into an agreement, membership, with the association Expomusic and grant all rights relating to promotional material as set forth in this Agreement:
    1. If necessary, users with a registered account must grant Expomusic full authority to act on behalf of all holders of any right, title or interest in and to any "protected promotional material" uploaded to the expomusic.swiss platform.
    2. If necessary, users with a registered account must guarantee and grant permission to use the name of each physical person and identifiable legal person whose name is contained or used in the "protected promotional material", and to use the personal or identifying information of that individual or company, to the extent that such information is used or contained in the "protected promotional material" uploaded to the expomusic.swiss platform as provided in these Terms of Use.
    3. If necessary, users with a registered account must guarantee and prove that they are entitled to sublicense all the aforementioned rights relating to the "protected promotional material" uploaded to the expomusic.swiss platform, to the Expomusic association and to all registered users of the service, namely, Musicians, Industry, Audience and the visiting public of the expomusic.swiss platform who does not register a user account.
  9. Users with registered accounts declare and guarantee that the use or other exploitation of "protected promotional material" by the association Expomusic, if in the case of its sublicensees and authorized distributors, and/or by users with accounts and without accounts registered on the expomusic.swiss platform, worldwide, as provided in this Agreement, will not infringe in any way the rights of any third party, including but not limited to privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, contractual rights or any other intellectual property of composers, songwriters, lyricists, arrangers, musicians, or other property rights. Registered Musicians and Industry users represent and warrant that they have the full right, power and authority to accept and grant, free of charge and without request for collection of copyright rights of their own or of third parties who are natural persons or legal persons, as required in this Agreement through these Terms of Use, notwithstanding the provisions of any prior agreement entered into with any copyright collection organization, whether established in Switzerland or elsewhere, or any music publisher.
  10. Users with a registered account are solely responsible for taking all necessary measures to inform the copyright collecting societies or music publishers involved, or all physical persons or legal persons holding licenses, of the authorization and concession given to the association Expomusic for the exploitation, without limitation, of all "protected promotional material" whether in digital form or digital media or in physical form on paper or other material media, which is made publicly accessible; that no compensation or payment of any kind will be due to collecting societies of copyright, copyright, or music publishers, or to other physical persons and legal persons, Swiss or foreign, for public performance or communication to the public in digital form or digital media or in physical form on paper or other physical media or in all forms authorized in these Terms of Use for the "protected promotional material" uploaded on the expomusic.swiss platform by users with a registered account or produced by the association Expomusic through the "protected promotional material" uploaded by them.
  11. Users with registered accounts represent and warrant that no commission or percentage of any kind will be due to users with registered accounts or to third parties, including, but not limited to, trade unions, associations, corporations, international corporations, vocalists, musicians, sound engineers, producers or other physical persons or legal persons, whether professional or non-professional, Swiss or foreign, included or not on this list for the use or reuse of "protected promotional material" as authorized under this Agreement.
  12. If any agreement entered into with a third party, including, but not limited to, copyright collecting organizations, music publishers, trade unions or corporations, by law or contract, prohibits Expomusic, and if applicable its sublicensees and distributors, from granting the right and license set forth in this agreement, including the representations and warranties set forth in the paragraphs immediately above, affects the effectiveness and validity of the dispositions of these Terms of Use; it is considered an illegal act, and therefore prohibited, to upload "protected promotional material" on the expomusic.swiss platform by providing false information about the ownership of copyrights, copyrights, its own and third parties, or that violate contractual clauses of previous copyright agreements, or otherwise; users registered with Musicians, Industry, Audience accounts who violate these provisions attributable to the "protected promotional material" uploaded on the expomusic.swiss platform, are directly responsible for any claim for compensation by the owners of the copyright, including all court costs and legal costs, the association Expomusic is not responsible and obliged to indemnify, in any form or in any case, the owners of direct or indirect copyright.
  13. Users with a registered account, and without a registered account, declare and warrant that they will not cause any legal dispute against Expomusic and that they will indemnify Expomusic if, due to users with a registered account, legal actions for compensation are brought in relation to copyright, third party property rights or due to contractual clauses not respected by users with a registered account.
  14. The association Expomusic declares and guarantees not to profit from the "protected promotional material" uploaded by users with registered accounts; the association Expomusic declares and warrants that the "protected promotional material" uploaded is under the exclusive control, while maintaining the provisions mentioned in these Terms of Use, of users with a registered account who have uploaded it to the platform expomusic.swiss and that, at any time, may modify or remove the "protected promotional material", subject to the obligation of the conditions of subscription to the service of the platform expomusic.swiss.
  15. The "Expomusic promotional material" contained in the expomusic.swiss platform is owned by the Expomusic association; users with registered and unregistered accounts agree that the service contains "Expomusic promotional material" specifically provided by the Expomusic association or its partners, protected by copyright, including trademarks, service marks, Live Streaming service, Streaming service, patents, trade secrets or covered by other intellectual property rights and laws. By using the expomusic.swiss platform, you must respect the authorship of "Expomusic promotional material" on copyright and the applicable restrictions of any "Expomusic promotional material" accessible through the expomusic.swiss platform service.
  16. The Expomusic association grants each user of the site with and without a registered account, and/or service, a worldwide, non-exclusive, non-commercial, non-transferable and non-transferable license to use, modify and reproduce the content for commercial purposes but solely for the personal use of "Expomusic promotional material". The use, reproduction, modification, distribution or storage of any content for commercial use, without limitation to this list, is expressly prohibited without prior written permission from the association Expomusic, or the copyright holder identified in the copyright notice, in the absence of which you must seek permission from the association Expomusic. Users who do not have privileges over "Expomusic promotional material" of any kind present on the expomusic.swiss platform, or accessible through an account and password, connected to its service, are not allowed to sell, license, rent or otherwise use or exploit any content for commercial use, or in any other way that violates the rights of the Expomusic association or third party rights related to the Expomusic association.
7. Rules of use of the expomusic.swiss platform and rules of conduct
Registered users of all categories declare and guarantee correct, ethical and legal conduct in accordance with the provisions of these Terms of Use and confirm that they will not use the expomusic.swiss platform for purposes prohibited by these Terms and Conditions. The services of the expomusic.swiss platform and the social pages linked to it - including, without limitation, any content shared on the expomusic.swiss platform by the association Expomusic or the "protected promotional material" - are intended for personal, non-commercial use only, unless you have any other privileges of use and/or exploitation. Users of all categories, including visitors to the website without a registered account, are prohibited from taking any action with respect to the content on the expomusic.swiss platform such as forced downloading of all content, use of copyrighted images and all copyrighted content for purposes that are deemed unlawful by the copyright holders and which are excluded from these Terms of Use.
